Golden and Happy

I cannot believe I am 28 now.  Today was my golden birthday.  I remember when I was younger, probably around 10 years old, I thought by golden birthday was years and years away.  Now that it is here, I feel OLD! I think it's just the thought of it that makes me feel old.  Overall, I'm happy with where I've come in my life.  I'm just going to enjoy my day with Mike and Helen.  Who knows, maybe we will even go to Target :)

1/2 year old........already?!!!??

1.  We have 2 teeth already.  They are both the bottom front.  She had a couple rough days, but they weren't terrible.

2.  Loves cereal, green beans, squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, apples, peaches, and pears.  She also likes peas and bananas, but not to the level of the others.

3.  Sleeps on her tummy in her crib most of the time. 

4.  Still has not rolled from tummy to back. 

5.  Sits up on her own.  Still needs someone around because she gets kind of tippy if she gets distracted.

6.  Wearing 9 month clothing for the most part.  Moved up to size 2 diapers.

7.  Sucks her thumb all the time, but especially when tired; right more than left.  Also rubs her head like she's twirling her hair when she is sleepy and having a bottle.

8.  Splashes like crazy in the bathtub.  Gets everyone involved soaking wet. 

9.  Took her first roadtrip to visit Auntie Jenny and Uncle Shawn in Kenmare.  Daddys stayed home and it was difficult for mommy.

10.  Had her first cousin get together in the Martel family.  All of her cousins were there and they all got to play together. 

11.  Continues to talk a lot, smile, and laugh.

12.  Easter was fun.  We went to Aunt Darcy's and saw everyone.  It was cousin Madeline's 1st birthday.  It was the first birthday party Helen went to.

13.  The baby swing got put away this month.  We realized we hadn't put her in it for a couple weeks. Helen is just much too aware of everything and looks around more than anything when in there.
