Impatient little girl

I woke up this morning at 0830, 21days away from my due date. We already have a cesarean scheduled for nov 20th, so we really didn't think to have much prepared before then. I was going to walk in on the 20th looking great, prepared for it, house cleaned, kitchen stocked, my sister watching helen.....    

Well this baby had different plans. I was pretty sure that my water had broke because you know...... There I was, alone with helen and nothing was packed. Thankfully I was able to get ahold of Ellen to come stay with her and mike was on his way. We got ready and threw a bunch of stuff in the bed to take along. I don't even have an outfit to take her home in.  There isn't even a car seat yet! Agh! 

Here I sit, #3 for afternoon cesareans. Thankfully there's nothing wrong that would make them push this along. Hopefully nothing happens with the other 2 moms that push me back even more :)

Little helper

Helen has become such a big helper. She likes to be in on anything I'm doing. We also dress similar at times. If I have a ponytail, Helen has a ponytail. If my hair is down......good luck getting the beloved ponytail in :)

She was so mad I was cleaning while she was eating. She had to get down and help.

Great weekend!

We had a great family weekend. A lot of it was spent painting, but we did take time to get outside. 

Always a new adventure

Our little Helen is getting into everything. She likes to climb. She just climbed out of the playpen at daycare this week. We are hoping to keep her in the crib for a lot longer. She has sadly given up her naps and just takes one most days. This was especially traumatic for me. I count on her to nap on Mondays so I can sleep for my night shift. Her favorite things are Murphy, tipsy, Minnie, daddy, and mommy. She likes to yell "puppy" out the living room window. She tells herself to "sit down" when she knows she's not supposed to be standing on something. She also has a lot of baby babble that she has taught us, so we can understand her :)

Selfies at 16 months

Helen has discovered selfies. We have a lot of fun with them. It's crazy to think she is 16 months now. Her favorite foods are salsa and anything her parents are eating that we don't want to share. I don't think there is anything she absolutely won't eat. She's also rockin' out size 2t already. 

A warm day!

We finally had a day that we weren't freezing to death. I took the kids for a walk around the block. They both loved it!
