Go Go Go.......

We have had big events at our house these past couple of weeks.  The biggest change for all of us, including the animals, is Helen's ability to crawl and pull up on furniture.  Just when things were starting to get easier............


It has definetly taught me to keep a cleaner house.  Before she could move, I just had to make sure the areas we put her were clean.  Now that she gets EVERYWHERE, we have to clean EVERYWHERE.

Helen is very happy for her new mobility.  She also likes to walk, holding onto hands.  Lets hold off on walking for awhile!

8 months!

I can't believe Helen is 8 months old already!  It seems like she should just be a couple weeks old.

1.  We have completely transitioned to a convertible carseat in both vehicles.  She loves it. 

2.  Helen is able to sit in shopping carts and loves it.  She can look around and see everything.  Kicking her legs is her favorite, when sitting there.

3.  We almost have a crawler.  She can scoot along a little, but not too much.  Murphy is getting nervous about this. 

4.  Busy Busy Busy.  Getting into anything she can get her hands on.  We are starting to see the things we need to childproof.

5.  Wearing 9 and 12 month clothing.  She wears 12-18 month leggings too.  What long legs she has!

6.  Really starting to branch out on her foods.  It is nice that she can eat little things off our plates at restaurants.  One fun outing was going to Tutti Frutti. Helen liked eating pieces of fruits.

7.  She has gone from being on all 4's to sitting a couple times.

8.  Favorite food is green beans.  She likes to hold them and chew on the ends.  She also had some cooked spaghetti noodles that were a lot of fun to eat play with.

8 months

My 7 month old

Her arms are blurry in most pictures.  She claps her hands by swinging her arms really fast. 

7 months

1.  We are still holding steady with 2 teeth.  They are sure sharp!

2. Has started finger foods.  Likes green beans and puffs!  She tries something new almost every day.  It's nice that she can eat some of what we eat.

3.  Has been sleeping 10-12 hours at night.  Bedtime is around 8pm.

4.  Loves to splash in the bathtub.

5. Wearing 9 and 12 month clothing.

6.  Loves music.  It seems like "The Voice" was on quite a lot.  She would stare at it.  Sometimes it is like she sings along with the music. 

7.  Gets up on hands and knees and rocks.  One day she's just going to take off.

8.  Has learned to "roll out" of a fall.  When sitting up, if leans too far over, she has figured out how to not flop over.  It has prevented a lot of tears.

Our baby has been such a little blessing.

It's exhausting being this amazing!
