waiting waiting waiting

We had an appointment yesterday.  Our last pre-natal appointment.  yay!  We got good news.  I'm 3 to 4 cm and 90% effaced.  The midwife said maybe we will see you back here tonight.  Lies.  He also said he didn't think we would make it through the weekend without having a baby.  He was pretty surprised at how far along she was already.

I think Mike went into panic mode.  When I looked at him, he looked SHOCKED!  haha.  I think we have been planning for next Monday/Tuesday for awhile now and had accepted that.  When they tell you that you could have a baby that night, it's odd.

When we got home, he kept staring at me.  Every time I moved to be comfortable, he just stared.  I told him he would be the first to know if something happened.  I skipped work today, so I'm meeting a friend to go mall walking :)  Mike hesitated going to work.  I assured him he would be updated if something changed.

Now we wait.


Oh, we had to try out the new stroller!  Murphy would rather walk next to it, but he did approve it. 

Baby Progress 37 weeks 5 days along

We had an ultrasound today to determine size.  She is estimated at 7 pounds 15 ounces.  Terry (the midwife) said we should induce next Friday, so he's going to set that up.  Now we just wait.  He doesn't think she will get here before then, since she's the first baby.  At least now we have a goal! 

Here are some updated pictures, but they aren't very good.  Apparently the bigger the baby gets, the harder it is to get a good picture of them.

Theresa made this crazy great diaper cake.  I thought this was the surprise she was working on.......but......

........this was actually the surprise!  It's a watermelon baby carriage.

Overall, the shower was a lot of fun.  Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and really get into it.  We got a lot of really nice things and were pretty overwhelmed when we got it all home.

The nursery is really coming together.  I'm sure there will be a blog about it at some point.  :)

Cat

It took Tipsy 1 1/2 years to get used to having Murphy around. She's been living in the basement. Whenever we go to bed or are not home, that is where she goes. It's been going good!

Now she is more of her normal self. I'm sure she will be better unless something new happens to come into her life :)

Trying things on

Murphy is trying to get ready for a little sister. He's not really sure what he thinks about it. We are trying to help him as much as possible so he isn't shocked :)
